Assigning names to crew
« on: 14 Feb 2004, 23:50:08 »
Hi,

What I want to do: for a cutscene there should be a crew member  disembarking  and then go and talk with another person.

Problem: When assigning a name in the editor, its valid for the vehicle not for the crew. That of course is bull because I want the crew to talk, not the vehicle.

Question: How can I assign names to the crew in order to let them speak (or more generally: refer to them) once they get out?

Any ideas??

Found a solution:

I named the vehicle "chuck" (it can be any valid name).

Afterwards you can referentiate to the crew as

chuckd -> driver

chuckc -> commander

chuckg -> gunner

Easy, isn't it?  8)

Make an empty vehicle and put the crew in after with,

this moveindriver/commander/gunner/cargo commands.

That way you can assign them names as normal individuals.
