Its dark! I need light!

Ok, I have a loon who walks through a trigger and becomes a Mi24 pilot. Once he becomes the pilot the helicopters spotlight is suppost to turn on. So in the trigger I put:

heli action ["STR_ACTION_LIGHTON"]

But the light never comes on!  

Whats the problem here?

The pilot must be in the chopper and setBehaviour safe or careless.

I think the action doesn't work.   Even if it does, you have to decode the action list to get the right thing.   It would not be STR_ACTION_LIGHTON it would just be LIGHTON.    The str action bit is to identify lighton as a string and an action.     It doesn't have to be upper case -  in general OFP commands are not case sensitive.
