Guys & Gals,
What he means is that he has the "Hide extensions for known filetypes" turned on.
So when he renames the text file "respawn" to "respawn.sqs", the end result shows as "respawn.sqs" on the screen, but windows sees it as "respawn.sqs.txt" and opens it as a normal text file.
Confused yet?
Nut,
For WinXP:
- Go to any normal folder window (C: is fine).
- Click on Tools
- then Folder Options
- Go to View
- find the tickbox "Hide extensions for known filetypes"
- Untick it
Now you should see all file extensions, and when you rename this time, it will do it correctly now.
Enjoy!
