How to make it work on Linux Dedicated Server
« on: 16 Nov 2003, 13:29:49 »
Hello.

Well, maybe the place for this topic isn't best, but ... i really need your help.

We got a configured OFP dedicated server on Linux. It works, but we got problems with addons/islands/configuration (for example, non of the missions that are using addons is working on Skye island )

  • Are there some rules according to addons placement on server?
  • Are the addon names on server casesensitive? Should all addons- and missionnames on server be in lowercase?
  • Does the situation, when addons on mission makers computer are in different folder (lets say all of them are in Addons folder) than the addons on server (lets say they all are in Res/Addons) could this be the reason why some of the missions are not working? I'm sure the server has all required addons.

All the missions that aren't working crash immediately after they are selected - so it's impossible to see what's wrong.

I hope, those problems are related to misplaced addons or wrong case of names of the missions/addons.

I'll be happy, if someone could give me some suggestions about "the way things schould work".

all mission.pbo's need to be in lower case
(infact i think all filenames need to be lower case)

better to have all addons in the root addon folder, not the res addon folder (causes less conflicts)

might be that you have a conflict between 2 addons
Zeus ARMA2 server IP = 77.74.193.124 :2302
Teamspeak IP = 77.74.193.123
