Hellicopter scriptz, Any ideas?
« on: 19 Oct 2003, 19:02:21 »
Hello all, I'm workin on a script that is supposed too add tons of extra options to any chopper at once, I already have added a working flare dispensor, kinda easy ;) and an altitude warning script, just as easy :)

It's actualy more like a pack of script all launched from 1 single script, soo the mission editor won't have too worry about typing 100 script inits.

But to get too the point:
First: I'm kinda running out of ideas here, my question is does anyone have ideas about what kinda features you'd like too see in the ofp choppers :)

And second: I have a little question, is there a way too get sounds scripted, without having too define them in the description.ext ?

Get those missions out there you morons!

Hmm its a shame you don't see the shells falling out of the cannon, its really a nice script you know... It also has FFAR smoke scripts on it and uses BAS SOAR pilots...

I believe that you can use the in-game sounds (trigger sounds) without doing anything in the description.ext.

And you should also check out TakeOff Tim's flight supervision systems, in the editor's depot. No point in duplicating anything that has already been done. By that, I mean don't waste your time making any features in your script that Tim hasn't already made. Focus on new stuff.

OK so u people wanna see falling shells and extra smoke for rocket launchers, i'll try, but i't's not gonna be that easy too do, cause I want the scripts too be usable with any chopper, but i'll take a look at it

@sounds: Nah i'm sure i'm gonna have too edit the description.ext file since i created a custom altitude sound.

Well that script only does good for apaches, but it could be adjusted to make the shells fall out from somewhere else, amd use the typeof command to determine witch choppper it is... Or, like I am trying to to, you could make it an addon...
