Television border
« on: 20 Sep 2003, 00:58:53 »
I've heard mention that it is possib;le to put a tv border around a cutscene.
1) Is this possible

2) Is yes, how?

3) Is it possible to emulate static, as of a tv transmitter getting knocked out halfway through a broadcast/

thanks

sure can  , this is from the UBER editing manual

cutobj ["object name","text position",0]
Puts an overlay object on the screen. It can be used at any time, not just in cutscenes.
"object name" (quotations are mandatory) can be one of the following:
"tvset" - lays a TV-type view over your cutscene

Very similar to the 'cutrsc' command, this does pretty much exactly the same thing.

"text position" can be either "PLAIN DOWN" or "PLAIN" specifying text in the lower part of the screen or the center respectively.

in the editor you can select this as an object in effects

Thanks.
And is the simulated static possible?
