Can't remember all the details ... I think it's

loon1 fire "smokeshellgreen"

Obviously you need to make sure that he has a smokeshell, and you need to make sure that the mission will still work correctly if this loon gets killed.   There are several ways of doing this.   For example, you could have a script that just gives the group leader the smokeshell (with a magic removemagazine/addmagazine combo) and so on.

You need to add an eventhandler "fired" to the unit(s) that are going to throw the smoke, so that you can detect when they do.   That eventhandler sets a variable to true which in turn makes a switch trigger fire which moves the ground group onto a load waypoint and brings the chopper in to load them up.

This has come up before, use the forum search function.

lol

A loon is just an AI controlled soldier.    Also known as dude, guy or moron.  It's an old Scots word and describes them perfectly.    In general it means a young man, but frequently refers to one who is stupid or not paying attention.    It's not particularly derogatory.

There is at least one quotation .... a general (or somebody) commanding a Scottish regiment drawn up for battle pointed at the hordes of enemy soldiers on the top of an adjoining hill.   He shouted to his men,

"D'ye see yon loons?   Well, if you dinna kill them, they'll kill you!"

Thanks.  I thought it was a player object of some type.  HAHA  I was right.  And it does describe them.  I use Retard to describe them.  (No offense to anyone) ;)

I'm a simple soul, and I like the simpler of the two fire commands.   ;)

If it works for smoke, that is.
