Placing different markers on map during real-time
« on: 06 Aug 2003, 04:10:33 »
How should I go about creating a script so that during gameplay, at the briefing section/in the middle of mission, the player can place markers(not only objective markers but different marks like dot, start, flag etc) and what are the variables to pass so that it'll work during multi-player as I believe scripts are very multiplayer unfriendly.

I'm not sure if thats what you are after, but you don't need a script for that, its an OFP feature.
After doubleclicking on the map, you can select the marker type with cursor UP,DOWN.
AFAIK, the placed marker is transmitted in MP to all players in your current chat channel (e.g. in side chat to all players on your side).

You are right! I didn't know we can choose the markers just by scrolling up and down. I'm so dumb, hehe, the manual never state so, that's why. Thanks alot!
