Problem with Addons and windows XP
« on: 28 Jul 2003, 21:16:10 »
Hello all,

I recently got a new system with Windows XP. I used to run win 98. Specifically when I place WWIIEC 101st addon and WWIIEC german troops in the same mod folder and launch Flashpoint resistance (v 1.91) I get a green screen. and I have to quit out of Flashpoint.

I know that these addons work in the same mod folder because I ran them together on last system with win 98. This also occours with other addons when I run them together, where as before this did not happen. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hmm, not sure.  I have XP on my system, so i'll try them.  Where can I get them and how big (filesize) are they?

Humphery,

Get them from here http://ofp.axlegames.com/~ww2ec/

I do not think the problem is the addons because they work if I put them in seperate mod folders. How do you have your addons set up? and which ones so I can try them based off your file structure.

Thanks

Hello Spock!

That's a weird problem!

Unfortunately, these forums do not have any place for tech support questions like this.

The best place to go is the BIS forums here:

http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard301/ikonboard.cgi?s=3c35bc596380ffff

Or contact the WWIIEC team and see if they've heard of this problem and possibly a fix for it.  (or you can continue your discussion with homefry31464 via private messages)

Good luck with your problem!
