installing download problems...please help!

...first of all I must state a fact which explains why I am so incompetent....yup...I'm a newbee ...so have mercy those of U out there!

ok here it goes!....I can't seem to install properly the Dynamic Range Sound Pack for Resistance v1.75 and v.1.90......and the reason why is in the final step of installation....after I've succesfully placed the .pbo and .cpp files where they've should be things get out of hands......In the final step of inst. it says that I should rename the newly generated desktop shortcut OperationFlashpoint into Dynamic Range... and then alter its properties to correct the target field....to be more specific.....to add -mod=DynamicRange at the end of the target field....but the path is not correct...and I dont have a clue what's wrong! ...and what the hell is -mod=... command, I mean what does it do?
