Change of clothes?

Hi, does anyone know whether it's possible to change the model of a unit in-game? If you for example would like some new clothes, could you then change the player's textures? I know that you could "cheat" and replace an AI guy with another, but as for the player... well I dunno... maybe you do..

 It just aint' gonna happen...  :'(

but  there is the setobject texture command.. or some such thing that you can use to change arm patches, and insignia on choppers and such..

so maybe if someone made an addon where the entire set of clothes could be swapped via the command it would work for this...  I'm guessing the addon thing could be done but it would be a pain in the :booty:
