Simple Question! (Except for me) lol

Ok, i know how to get text on-screen during a cutscene by using the 'titletext' command....but how do i get it on-screen with the use of a trig during play

in the "effects" window (in the trigger) there's a coupl'a clickable drop downies & fields,
and YOU need the field called "TEXT"   :thumbsup:


put a txt there (whatever U type in the field) and use \n for multiple txt lines.

 

there's an option in the drop-D menu nearby where ya can select "BOTTOM".

This is if ya wanna see the txt at the bottom of screen

You just make a trigger activated by west (or east or resistance) and then head stfraight for the effects part of the trigger (bottom of the page).
     When you get to the effects part, head once again straight to the bottom and find the liitle section that says "titles".
     In the type box put ""text" and in the effect, leave it plain. That means the text will appear in the middle of the screen. "Bottom" put it at the bottom.
     Anyway, when you put the "type" box to "text", a little line should have appeared just below. Type your text into that, press ok a couple of times, and your done.

Thx guys....i was trying to do it from the 'Text' field in the main trigger menu instead of the effects menu :thumbsup:
