Okay, i have tried alot of things to make this happen but its really hard... here is the story, a helicopter lands and a pilot comes out, he starts saying something and half way through a enemy sniper shoots him. Now i can make the sniper on the hill and target the pilot but both sniper starts shooting everyone and so does the guys at the base. So should i just make the pilot get soldierOne commandFire player and spawn a sniper on the hill or what? :-[

Update- Well i tried dofire as well and synchrosing the Waypoint and triggeer didnt work, my only hope is to make a cut scene there or something.. grr.. really getting annoying now  :-\ 8) :)

in da init of da sniper put

this setcaptive true; this setcombatmode "blue"

nd wen u want him 2 shot da pilot do

snipername dofire pilotname (u may need 2 do it som secs b4 so da sniper can aim ;D)

You might want to make the other guys at the base setCaptive true too, to stop the sniper from shooting them.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

Yes, but should i srycn the waypoint of pilot and triiger... and thats when the sniper will fire?? ???

just make dadofire command wenever u want him 2 fire ;D

but i wud prefere it in script ::)

i dont know, i am a newbie... so scripts are unknown to me.. but how do you make the do fire when the pilots trigger is done to talk.... i mean do you sychn the trigger do fire and pilots talk trigger ???

Okay, well i did everything and there good news and bad..

Good News- Nobody fires on sniper and sniper doesnt fire on anyone
Bad New- I sycrhnoised the trigger for the pilot to talk and sniper to shoot and nothing happpened.... ???

I have a small plan!  :)

Set all the peps in the base to Setcaptive True exept the pilot. Then set the sniper to combatmode "Blue" and dotarget pilot On the wp that makes the pilot talk, put in the On Activation field
NameOfSniper setcombatmode "Red"

This will make the sniper target the pilot, and when the pilot reaches the Wp, the sniper starts to shoot, but he will only shoot the pilot because all the others are setcaptive

Clever eh?

Ah, offcourse.

The way I gets it, you have a pilot that comes out of his chopper, starts to say something, and then a sniper will shoot him. Right? Hopes so...  ::)

Okay, here we go...

Make the sniper NOT shoot at the others in the base :
Write : This setCaptive True in the Init field of every unit in the base, except the pilot...

Make the sniper don't fire at anything.
NameOfSniper setCombatMode "Blue". This goes in the Init field of the sniper.

Okay. Now you can have the sniper targeting the pilot :
NameOfSniper doTarget Pilot

Now we gets to the action!  :gunman:

On the waypoint where the pilot starts talking, put this in the On Activation field
NameOfSniper setCombatMode "Red"

This will make the sniper open fire, but he will only fire at the pilot, because all the others in the base are setcaptive!

Just ask for further explanation if you need it, and I can allways create an exsample mission  ;)
