is there a way to acces a mission you downloaded with the mission editor in order to make changes? (ie weapons and equipment

ok decompressed it how do i acces it with the editor?

Decompression should give you a folder called something like thisMission.Abel.   Move that folder to

C:\Program Files\Codemasters\OperationFlashpoint\Users\yourname\missions\

or whereever you put OFP.   Now open up the mission editor, select the island and away you go.
