10x's zoom
« on: 24 Apr 2003, 05:31:34 »
What are the OpticsZoomMin and OpticsZoomMax that you use to achieve a 10x's zoom on a scope?

Currently I'm using 0.070000, but others who claim a 10x's zoom on their scopes, seem to have a much higher magnification.

Also, what does DistanceZoomMin and DistanceZoomMax determine?

Thanks for any help.

The values for opticszoommin and opticszoommax can be derived with this formula:

scopevalue=0.7*magnification value^-1

so x10 is indeed a value of 0.07

min = at highest magnification
max = at lowest magnification

the distance figures allow you to vary the vertical aim of the scope so that the weapon is centered at the respective zoom values
