Perhaps that they want to make the "important" WWII countries first, like US and British?  :hmm:

Sorry, just that it would seem that Lee-Enfield made every British weapon then, cos they  made the revolver and the rifles and the machine-carbine. All these weapons could be used for the Australians and Cmmonwealth too.

Sten (Which he has called the Lee-Enfield Sten)

Easy mistake to make, however Lee-Enfield was not a rifle manufacturer Per se. The double designation on rifles refers to the designer and type of rifling/mechanism (as in Lee-Metford, Martini-Henry), and the Sten was not designed by James Lee (who died in 1904, 38 years before the sten was designed), The Reason the Enfield Designation appears so often (Enfield Mk2 Revolver, Bruno-Enfield (BREN)) is that it is the location of the Royal Small Arms Factory.

Sten stands for Sheperd, Turpin (the two desingners) ENfield, and i'm pretty sure that designation alone is how it was known. Despite the fact that many of the later models were not produced at Enfield, the Sten Mk.III (probably the best of them) was manufactured by Lines Brothers, a pre-war firm of toy makers.

Ode to a Sten Gun
By Gunner. S.N. Teed

You wicked piece of vicious tin!
Call you a gun?  Don't make me grin.
You're just a bloated piece of pipe.
You couldn't hit a hunk of tripe.
But when you're with me in the night,
I'll tell you pal, you're just alright!

Each day I wipe you free of dirt.
Your dratted corners tear my shirt.
I cuss at you and call you names,
You're much more trouble than my dames.
But boy, do I love to hear you yammer
When you 're spitting lead in a business manner.

You conceited pile of salvage junk.
I think this prowess talk is bunk.
Yet if I want a wall of lead
Thrown at some Jerry's head
It is to you I raise my hat;
You're a damn good pal...
You silly gat!
