The role of a graphics card in frame rate?
« on: 17 Apr 2003, 10:33:25 »
When having lots of units, somewhere around 100 for example, how much does the graphics card count or is it just that the cpu can't handle the situation?

If i have a killer graphics card, does the game only look better or will it also go faster?

Hardware in question:

AMD 1800+
GeForce2MX 200
256 ram

get a new graphics card and you'll get a better framerate = more speed.

The game will run more smoothly and generally look better.

Maybe you could get some ram as well.
Not all is lost.

I'm afraid we don't do tech support on this site guys... ;)

Eagle-eye, I suggest you check out some informed hardware sites (eg. www.tomshardware.com).
