is it possible to open and/or save odol format p3d files in o2 or to convert them it to mdol files and/or back again.
BAS seem to have done it.

i always thought being unable to open odol files was to stop people screwing around with other poeples work

and although it would be useful to use some of BIS's p3d models as bases my main interest is being able to learn from example
i would love to be able to get a look at some of BAS's work

There are some tools, but they are not released anywhere. I have a few names which I know have access to those tools, but I won't mention them as:
a) You would go pester them about this
b) It woudln't do you any good as they are not about to release the tools
c) All of the above

So, my best bet is just push the thought of editing ODOL models out of your head, and focus on doing addons on your own instead.

you could always mail the autor of a model and ask how he did something you want to know.

Just while we are on the subject......I've binarized a whole pack of addons, but now the animations don't work. Any ideas? Much appreciated  :)
