In the real world (i think) soldiers would run and try to find ammo or spare weapons if their weapon becomes broken or they run out of ammo.
I know the player can order his groupmates to get more ammo or take/drop a weapon, but an AI group can't (I don't think) take/drop ammo or weapons w/o a script.
Here are the things I think this script or function should do:
1)Check and see how much ammo a unit has
2)If the unit is low on ammo or is out of ammo, it will make the unit search for more ammo of the same gun type.
3)If the ammo can't b found from a certain distance, then the unit will try and grab a different weapon and/or its ammo.
4) (?)If no ammo or weapon can be found, the unit will head to a safe spot or have a surrendering action.
I tried to look at other things such as Toadlife's script for the captive in OpLojack 2, but I am just overwhelmed by the amount of scripting needed. :-\
