Yes. It IS about mission objectives/overviews. Oh well here we go again.

I downloaded the objective making tutorial. Then I copied the example mission files into my own mission's folder. I wanted to change the picture on the overview, and so I opened up the overview picture in Paint Shop Pro and put my own picture in, saved it, and started up OFP. But it gives me an error when I select the mission on the list, that tells me that the picture... CANNOT BE FOUND! EVEN UNDER THE SAME NAME/PiCTURE TYPE! And just as bad, along with the picture disappearing, so does all the text.

Can anyone help?!?!?!?!?!?!??!

hmmmm, nasty.    There is a tute on this, as you  probably saw.   The most important thing is to save your picture with sides (in pixels) a factor of two - 2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256,512,etc.

If you have changed the picture you will also have to delete the old .pbo from the mission folder, open the mission editor, open the mission, save to single missions.    

Getting the overview right is a real bore because of this process, but there is no way round it as far as I know.  If your just trying to solve a picture problem it make make life easier to insert it in your briefing as a temporary measure, at least then you can test it from the mission editor (hold down the SHIFT key when you click on Preview.)   If it works in the briefing it should work in the overview.

Try getting it to work with no picture at all, then at least you know the text is secure.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear.... I removed the pic, and YIPEEE!!!! THE TEXT IS STILL GONE!!!!   YAY!!!!

Same thing happened with my objectives/notes. No text. Nothing.  :'(

I suggest you take a new, clean Overview file from somewhere and start again.  

Make it work in your mission without changing anything.

Then change the text only (be careful, don't delete anything vital)

Then start messing with the pic.

It sounds like some vital piece of code has been deleted/changed by accident, which is screwing up the whole file.
