You could just put a get out wayoint over an airfield.

A more compicated way would be to use a series of waypoints with "flyinheight" commands to gradually make it go down. But it will just fly in circles or fly off into oblivion or crash or something, so why bother? Just a use a chopper.

There's only one operational airfield per island though, they won't land anywhere else.   I think

plane1 land "land"

in a waypoint over the airfield should do the trick.

Hi

Macguba, I found that when placing a waypoint over the airfiled directly with the...

Planename land "LAND"

...command in the waypoints activation box, the plane flies over the airfield first and then starts a turn around it to position itself again for landing as auto land mode isnt engaged untill it is above the field.
I got some advice on that before and basically I now place the landing waypoint about 500mtrs or more (even as far as all the way down on the map, works too) south of the airfield, the plane then goes into auto land mode further out and has enough room to maneuvre into the glidepath.

this way it looks more real then if it would fly over first and then starts to turn to get in line.

Also I found that some addon aircraft crash when having to turn this way as they start making unlogical turns.

just a thought!

Yes, I think that's right ... once the plane gets the instruction to land it just flies to the start of the preprogrammed landing path, irrespective of where the waypoints are.   I haven't used it enough to be sure, but what you say is consistent with my own (limited) experience.
