Shoot out of vehicles.

Is it possible to have someone shoot out of a vehicle, say a Littlebird.  It would be nice to have Blackhawks on a patrol and have the men inside shoot out of the doors.  I am not a big scripter or addon person, so I am not even sure if this is possible.  Maybe you could have multiple gunner positions and/or a special blackhawk (not sure if multiple gunners is possible).  Just a suggestion.  Not sure if it is possible.

I, myself, are not very good on the mission editor but i do love OFP. It wud be good to be able to shoot out of vehicles.  :gunman:

I don't know anything about addons, but I suppose you might be able to make a chopper with extra door gunner positions.

As far as I know there is no way to do it without an addon.

I mean like in the Blackhawk you could maybe shoot out the door. It would also be good for HUMVEES.  It would just add another sense of realism to the game.

Hi,

There has been many attempts to try this, including having soliders shoting out of the back of a Chinook. Apprantley they ran into problems with soilders being able to point outside the chopper. Anyway, it would be good if it was tried again.

It CAN be done...


Vehicle attach script...

You have some invisible objects that are attached to the bench on the side of the Littlebird...

Then the player is attached to the objects, thereby following the helo, but free to move...

Some anims would be needed, the one that make you sit, and able to move your upper body and fire the gun...

And the one for disembarking....
