I don't know if thats posible...

But there is a getskill command,

So if you have all private on low skill, sergeants on medium and captians on full you could do it that way

There's no exact command for it as far as I know.

Anything related to this is that you can createunit a unit and in it's paremeters you can define his rank.  :-\

"soldierwb" createunit [getpos temp1, west1, "westman1 = this", 1, "LIEUTENANT"]
Not all is lost.

nah, it doesn't really matter ...... I just wanted to use it in a cutscene text something like this

titletext [format ["%1 %2 blah blah blah.", rank loon1, name loon1],"plain",1]

The name works, and it would be nice to have the rank too.

 ;D its for my onplayerkilled script (already implemented in Regina Proeliorum in the Ed Depot) .... so it could be any enemy loon in the game  ;D

relevant parts of the script so far ... it works fine, I would just like to add the villain's rank.

_player = _this select 0
_killer = _this select 1

_hero=name _player
_villain= name _killer

titletext [format ["Lieutenant %1\n\nKilled in Action by %2\n10 January 1986\nR. I. P.",_hero,_villain],"plain",2]

thanks LCD, but don't bother ... its not worth the trouble for something purely cosmetic.   I've got better things to do than write out a list of every west unit in the game .....  ::)
