I need help making a cockpit

Hello, I am making an FW-190 that will probably be released pretty soon, but I still need to know how to do a few simple things.  

How do you make a cockpit?  Is there a special way to do it or do you just make the model like anything else?

Also, how do you texture the canopy or windshield to make them see-through?  Thanks for any reply.

yes it is done like anything else but u have to create it in a new lod called view- pilot.

check out this tute.. on how to make an airplane... I haven't done it myself.. but i'm sure there either has to be:

a) instructions on how to make a cockpit

or

b) an example model......
