Idea for SP/MP support pack...

I'm sorry if this has already been thought of, and if it has, please disregard/delete this post.

I personally love the pack, and use it quite frequently in my missions now.  Thank you, snYpir.  I was wondering however why there weren't any single strikes (Say, a tactical missile strike) that did a lot of damage with one shot, and would clear the area...  It seems logical to me, because with a 30 second artillery barrage, you don't always hit your target, and you frequently don't kill it if it's armored...  With close air support, you risk losing a chopper...  With missiles, you could strike a target quickly and without endangering yourself as much (at least, I think), and it would also really be effective against armor and fortified positions.  

Also, a problem I had with the artillery was that I could never time it right...  The target always either died within 5 seconds of a 120-second barrage, or wasn't even grazed with a 30-second one.  Both situations mean I can't move up right away, because there's either an enemy on the ground, or shells pounding into the ground... Both would prove quite capable at stopping any advance that I plan.  I believe a missile strike could solve this problem.  

Perhaps it could be a modified maverick with the explosive properties of an LGB?  I do not know if it is possible to start a missile off with the engine ignited, but I believe the idea holds some merit if it's possible.

I understand. Artillery can be made more accurate by reducing the area that it lands over, of course.

You refer to a sort of laser guided missile, that will hit and kill it's target. it doesn't really matter what launched it, i understand.

I just implemented Scuds in v1.19, but that is not what you mean either.

Thanks for the suggestion, i hadn't thought of it. I will see what I can come up with, but as I always say, i promise nothing. If, however, I have scripts to work off, it makes it a hell of a lot easier... ::)

Actually, scuds would work, although they are kind of large...  With scuds, you could have an on-map launcher and have the number of launchers proportionate to the number of scuds you can launch...  (That is, if the launchers would all direct the missile to a target, and have a good-sized explosion.)  

I was also thinking of MLRS systems launching the strikes...  I think that is being done already, though.
