Object follow object...
« on: 16 Mar 2003, 03:20:42 »
Ok, this should be a tough question.. maybe not. I have made a p3d of a specific object. Now i want it to go on the back of someone.. but always stay there. I'm guessing by a loop script that keeps it on the back of a person. This would be a pbo. Thanks

Hmm... I think it's definately possible....

on the gunboat we made.. since the mines are simulated as dropping off the back of the boat... the mines themselves.. must "follow" the boat until they are dropped by the player....

LCD found a way to even take into account the speed of the boat to adjust for bow elevation at higher speeds..... It works really well.. you can cruise around and those mines stay right where they're supposed to be ;)

I have looked at the script... and it's insane.. lol

Its a tad bit too advanced for me to understand...... but I'm sure I could probably pass it on to ya if you want to have a look through it and see how he did it

IM me with your email addy and I'll send it on over
