Hostages joining units
« on: 02 Mar 2003, 07:38:10 »
How do I set a join command so that he joins with any unit that comes in contact within a trigger.  From what I have read I have to specify the name of the unit. For example,

[man1] join B.

Second part of the question - How can I specify a number of units for it to join with.

For example. I tried [man1] join A, B, C.

However command does not work.

You don't him to join with multiple units, once he's joined with one that's it, he is in that group.

there was a thread a week or two ago on this very question ... I can't remember exactly what the answer was but "thislist" comes into it.

The unit I wanted the unit to join with is a hostage.  The problem facing me is this:

The joining unit is killed

or

another unit is in a much better position to rescue the unit.

This board is infested with threads on hostage rescue, its been very popular recently.   I found these in a matter of seconds by the cunning ploy of searching this board for "hostage"
