Real RPG effect on armour

Can someone help out on a script I need to make that will produce the real affects of a RPG hit on an armoured vehicle?

Like if u hit the front of a BMP with an rpg the damage will not be enough to disable it and if u hit the side of a BMP with an rpg it will disable it allowing all crew and occupants to exit vehicle safely - it wont BLOW UP from a rocket hit - hitting side would be similar to BMP getting hit by a HEAT shell from tank.

Only when you hit the vulnerable rear of an APC will it blow up as it does currently in OFP.

How do I script these affects - I need to recognize which side got hit.

Nobody knows? Like can u control the areas of damage in script - in OFP damage affects areas and not as a whole. I know you can set the overall damage in script but is there something to control the areas of damage.

I was thinking that I would have to attach a Game Logic object to each side of the APC and test if the rocket impacted along that face then trigger a damage script to meter out damage.
