Here are some tips to help you get the best out of the forums.

helicopter tutorials and follow the tips given below.

(OFPEC old hands - is there anything else that should go in VFAQ? I'm not going to put more than about five things here, otherwise it will start becoming just a FAQ, so I need the top five questions ... with a link to the answer of course.)Before you post a questionOFPEC has over 150
tutorials, so there is good chance the answer to your problem is there. You can browse the tutorials by category and sub-category. There are also over 300
FAQs with a search function. Not everything makes it into the FAQ, so
search the forum too.
Always check both the
Official Command Reference (downloadable versions
here) and the
Unofficial Commmand Reference Guide (especially the appendices)
If you are new to OFP mission editing go to
First Steps and read
OFPEC Guide: Making Missions by snYpir and
Macguba's Guide to Mission Editing for Beginners. The
Tutorial Mission could prove useful too, it has example files (such as init.sqs, briefing.htm and description.ext) for you to copy.
The post itselfPost in the correct board - your question will be answered quicker. If in doubt, post in Editing: General. Do not post the same question in different boards. Do not ask people to email the answer to you.
Give your thread a relevant and informative name like "Detecting you threw a smoke grenade". Do not use names like "three questions" or "please help".
When you write your post, give all relevant details about your problem. The more you tell us, the better chance we have of helping you. If there is an error message involved, post it. Say what you are trying to do, what you did, and what went wrong.
Use good English, and check your post for spelling.* Although OFPEC is predominently an English language site, many (maybe even most) of the people who use it - and may answer your question - are not native English speakers.
When your question has been answered, thank the people who helped you. Click the green "Solve" button so that everybody knows the problem has been resolved.
