Deathmatch Scoring
« on: 20 Aug 2002, 08:38:26 »
Ok so what i need now is a scoring system for deathmatch. When a resitance player is killed west gets a point. When a west player is killed resistance gets a point. Just like the Real Paintball mission. How can this be accomplished? ???

nywayz - u just use da not alive command

make a triger

triger
condition - anybody (reapeatdly)
condition field - not alive unitname
on activision - nameofdacounter = nameofdacounter+1

I've made a short tutorial that you can use, along with an example mission. Get it here:

Hope it helps :)

Ahem, [TNF]Steiner your link is kinda screwed :P

I'd like to have a peep at it, but out burts swedish sadly

Extending this a little bit further,
is it possible to add points for a single unit for a kill HE made?

Let's just say this would be the mother of all paintball missions where you could earn 'cash' from kills and then run to the shop and buy rifles, maybe tanks... well why not bombardments  ;D

Just say if this has been done if that's the case.

taa.

[EDIT: Ok, it's one of those right click and save links, huh. no mirror link abibility sucks  :-\ ]

ok yeah whatever.  Deathmatch is just another element of ofp mp.  if you dont like it, nobodies gonna force you to play ofp.  personally i dont enjoy deathmatch because it is for one too easy, and it often turns into a sniper/camp fest.

respect that other people enjoy playing this game different ways than you do, maybe theyll respect you  ::)

yeah theres no way that ofp would ever run so smoothly (no CQB) that it would tun into a frag fest, like, you just arent maneuverable enuff in OFP...

I was referring more to the idea of making the ability to earn cash for better weapons and stuff than to deathmatch in general.

But you are exactly right, each to your own. I like to think of OFP as a thinking man's game rather than the lame fragfests or cheat-war games like CS.

In any case, have fun. :)
