Prob with the Geometry LOD

Well i'm making a house in O2. the only prob is that I can walk, shoot and drive through it. :-\ I have made the Geo LOD for all of the walls and it's not even close to the 64m limit... :o Can someone help me out?

geometry LOD is a bit particular.

If has to be simple and made up of closed convex shapes. (boxes, cylinders etc)

I think its selections have to be named

component01
component02
...

etc.

Run

Structure -> Conexitivy -> Find non convexivities and it will show you areas that are not correct.

The Geo LOD should be simple - T72 tank in demo had 1500 faces in primary LOD but the Geometry had only 40. Thats the number you are looking for in your house.

I've named the selections, the find non convexivities didn't show anything wrong... I'm getting a bit desperate here.... :'( It's my first attempt on doing sth with O2 and it's failing. Really pisses me off... :P ;D

I've got 3 or 4 buildings going....

if you read the projects list that is posted a certain other place once in a while you'd know this... man ::)   lol

check yer mail.. and throw a problem solved on this bad boy Hawk ;)

You need to make your walls a tad bit thicker to combat the  bug of guys being able to walk through the walls at certain angles....  or at least fatten up the geo LOD around those external walls a little bit...


I like it so far....  the roof gives it an oriental look (to me)  ;)

As a side note, if you want to make it possible to fire through windows etc but not move through them, then use a Fire Geo (making the gaps in the fire geo).
