Someone with 3d Studio Max ...
« on: 20 Feb 2003, 19:18:15 »
If you could <if possible> open up a soldier model from ofp in max and export it for viewing for a side to side comparison using the simple tools found here http://www.ati.com/developer/sdk/Npatch/npatchresource.html.
I'd try it myself but I don't own 3d max.

Once done could you please post a few pics showing the different detail levels here as well as here http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard301/ikonboard.cgi?s=3e5519a96babffff;act=ST;f=33;t=27295.

I hear what Suma is saying about it requiring additional work to the models for it to come out right. We would just like to see just how much.

Thank you.  :)

Truespace 5.0 will also read the .asc format quite well and then a saved 3ds file opens fine in max4. At least its been working for me.
