The newbie's at it again
« on: 14 Feb 2003, 20:07:38 »
Hey all...

I've got a couple of questions... things that's been bugging my mind for a
couple of months now..

Here they are:

1. I am trying to make a BMP turn on it's headlights when it reaches a way point... I even used a trigger , but no lights...  The command in the trigger I used is : Ebmp action ["LIGHTON"] (Ebmp is the bmp's name)... Help!???

2. I've read alot of tutorials, but I really can't seem to make my armor move fluidly... I use waypoint's and they end up waiting for 2 secs and then move on... How do one do that???

Thanx for any help in advance ...

1. You can make the lights on by typing into triggerÂ's on activation:
Ebmp setbehaviour "CARELESS". But there remains a problem, while the bmp has lights on, it doesnĂ‚'t shoot anyone. If it has to fight, you must type ebmp setbehaviour "COMBAT", but lights are again off.

2. The Flashpoint engine, makes the AI units stop for a while in every waypoint, because when they reach a waypoint, it takes few seconds that the commander says "MOVE TO 21 22" and the driver confirms and then starts to move on. The only way I know is to give waypoint directly to target.
You are right of course, to go alone would be crazy. You will be my driver.

You can also use "SAFE" instead of careless.  It will shoot, though the lights may go out.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play
