dont shoot that we have to steal it!!

I've made a mission where my team (2 spec ops and 1 Law) have to take a fort and steal a tank
the problem i have is as soon as the game starts my rpg guy nukes the tank
what can i do to make him stop doing this
(btw the tank is empty and ive tried "this setcaptive true" in its init)

Everyone will tell you to put This SetCaptive TRUE.  Then you will come back saying youve done that and it doesnt work.  Then they will tell you to do it again.  Then you will try again, then say it still doesnt work.  Then everyone will stop replying as they dont know the answer.

Thought Id save everyone the time.

i have a sort of idea but it might nt fit your needs,
if you make a waypoint then 1 of the boxes will have firing methods, maybe set the waypoint to never fire?
BUT they will not fire on the enemy either

Try opening the sqm file with notepad and changing the side from east/west to CIV

another alternative that has worked for me in 1.46---
setcaptive, make the tank an empty tank, and remove magazines in the init field.

magazines can be replaced with a trigger as you near the tank

this worked with a chopper  --can't guarantee with a tank, but seems that it should work :)

this is a correction to my suggestion above.

the trigger to replace the magazines should actually be based on the condition of you and-or your teammates entering the tank as driver, commander, or gunner, etc.

just an idea -- play around with it -- hope it helps

I never got this to work.In the end I had to stop any of y guys having LAWs.I tried changing the mission.sqm to civ but it still didn't work.(He reports the target, and aims his LAW at it, but doesn't fire)
