I am having a lot of trouble doing a script. I got Abu's Unofficial Editing Guide and it gave examples in there, which I tried with little success. Kept getting error messages.  Even a simple hello script would not work.  Can I download some simple scripts somewhere. Just a simple salute would do.

I know you like tearing missions apart so head over to the Ed Depot and dig out my Lookout!.       There is a cutscene in the middle that has a salute in it.   There are a few other scripts there too ..... easy ones, because that's all I can do.

Abuu's guide is good, if it's not working then keep persevering.   You need to be really picky about typos, a misspelling or a comma in the wrong place and you've had it.

Edit:  make sure your script is called myscript.sqs and not myscript.sqs.txt which sometimes happens.

Thanks MacGuba.  You think if I could teleport any units around the map, after learning from the DC Guide I could at least do a simple salute.  I have gotten some great ideas here so far.  I did not realise there were so many new actions and so much to this editing to learn

Sorry MacGuba but I cannot find it there.  It was script snippets I supposed to look in at the Ed Depot was'nt it?

sorry, my mistake, I meant Missions Depot - its a completed mission.   Search for it under my name in Single Player.
