editing the source code.
« on: 07 Feb 2003, 00:27:06 »
Does anyone knoe how to turn the official config.bin into a config.cpp that can be edited by notepad and still read by the game (as in the older versions of Satchel's sound pack)?

I know the risks involved (including activating FADE), but I want to edit the original units so that the official campaigns and user-made missions that use the stock units function more realistically.

I know it can be done, but the people that know how to do this are few and far between.  I can turn the main config.bin into a .cpp file, but I have a "value is not array error."  Does this have something to do with the #define constants?

Please help.

I'm close to figuring this out.

I've got all the vehicles working correctly.  The only thing that's not working now is the soldier actions.  There are a few people out there that know how to do this, and I'd like you input.
