I'm not quite clear what the problem is - could you be a bit more specific?     What exactly do you mean by a "machine gun nest"?

I have found some machine gun objects in the game which I want to use.  Just need the command to join a AI unit to the gun for it to be manned.

I take it you mean an M2 machine gun.    If you insert it as an armoured vehicle rather than an empty object it will be manned automatically.    If you want a dude to run across and man it then put a Get In waypoint on top of the M2.    It's treated like a vehicle - the gunner is "crew".

Hope that helps.

Don't know the M42 but you do have to get the WP to "attach" itself to the vehicle

or, a WP (itÂ's best with GET IN, so use that) and put in on act field:

NameOfDaGunner moveindriver NameOfDaGun

If that doesnÂ't work, change moveindriver to moveingunner.

If ya want it look better, change "move" to "assign"

You can also make the waypoint "GUARD" and just remember that which ever way the dude is facing when you place him , that is the way (direction) he will be guarding, and its myguy moveingunner M42name That way he wont be spinning around all the time giving away his position.

I finally got it to work. thanks.  What I had been doing was dragging the waypoint to the position where the gun was instead of dropping the waypoint first off on the gun. Very touchy program!!! Looks like it would not recognise the instruction.
