Hi!

I'm thinking about a special kind of mission I'm going to make, with bartering, trading, money exchange, that sort of things. Now, what I really need is a working money system so that the player (it's singleplayer) can buy and maybe sell stuff. The player will probalby only be able to purchase weapons and ammo (using action commands). There has to be a way of adding and subtracting money. If you could only give me some sort of clue as how to do this I would be very happy...

Uhm! Well, i think this is possible if you use scripts, but i'm not sure.

You need to create two scripts ( one for purchasing something, and one for selling it ).
These have to substract ( or add ) the "money" from ( or to ) a variable which represents your amount. The purchase script also has to check if the variable is high enough for purchasing something.

somebody has already done this, though I can't remember who.    I think it came up in the beta testing forum.   there was a system whereby you could buy something from a dude using the action menu.  

if you search the beta forum you might be able to find he - I seem to remember he posted a sample mission.    remember to get his permission before you use any of his scripts!

Lecit's answer seems to make sense, give it a try.   You just need to keep track of the variable playerwealth, or whatever you call it.
