k, for one, theres a premade brief on the OFP cd

Get that, and open it up....select the option to "edit"...i use frontpage express(ms word doesnt seem 2 work, or rather, anything u write there wont come up ingame)

Youll notice there are different sections...these are all linked to the parts of the breifing thru bookmarks...on Frontpage, youll see these as bluue flags, and you can edit them by right clicking....under ach of these  you must write the various parts:

Under the bookmark "Main": this is the diary part...use "heading 6" to get this style of writing...it wont appear handwritten outside, but it will ingame.

Under bookmark "plan": Write out the mission plan.

Under bookmarks "obj_1(im not sure if thats the name, look at what the bookmark says)": write your 1st objective....under OBJ_2 write your 2nd 1, ect...

Under the endings write the ending that corresponds to the one you build into the mission.

Save this as "briefing.html" and place it into your mission folder: it MUST be in HTML format.

I also suggest you use frontpage, or frontpage express....frontpage is EXPENSIVE, but express is old, and you can probably download it for free....i dont know where we got it from, it was just there. ;D

Well thats a VERY messy guide
You can also do sum nioce jump around markers by inserting a hyperlink and linking it to
"marker:markername"

Hope this helps, though it seems to long and convaluted to  ::)

Notepad is acceptable too. I always work in notepad because of its durability.

But Foo's guide there was good, if you still don't get it though I can send you a pre-made breifing with instructions and annotations.
