unit marker
« on: 22 Jan 2003, 19:35:47 »
Hi! IÂ've been working on a map, and all my map sux, but this looks promising, but I have a problem...

IÂ'm using a mine addon and I want the leader to be able to radio a guy in his group, who have charge of the detenators. Now, since you are the leader, I want the guy who is in charge to have a special "sign" on him, like a spteznatz sign. How do I put that sign into play? And is there a way? Plz help.

Thx in advance.

Hey Armstrong

I think you'd have to make a new addon for that  :-\

If you're using regular infantry you could use a sniper for example because snipers clothes don't differ much from the grunt clothes. And the sniper has that cool little crosshair in the unit menu.
If you want to you can write in his init field

removeallweapons this; this addmagazine "magname"; (repeat mag adding); this addweapon "weaponname"

and so on and so forth  ;D
Not all is lost.

Perhaps you can use a marker on the map in stead of a sign, one that follows the guy.
