Argh!! Bottles blowing up

I have some bottles that i want to shoot at. When they are hit I want someone to say "hit" <-- easy. The hard thing is.. if i put the dammage level to 1 (or shoot it while at 0) it makes that awful noise like a building is falling apart. Is there a way to detect when something is hit past dammage =1 , or is there a way to disable that sound from the object (official addon).

the easiest way would be to create a tiny "bottles" addon with no sound  :-*


I forsee you'll tell me to send it to ya  ::)

ps. actually, there's also som'n about the "destructType" and such...
      Lemme fiddle with it for a day & then you'll get it.
      Or maybe I'll just attach it here - ain't no custom pic's or anything,
      so it shouldn't take up much more than a few KB's  :-*

would they happen to be included in some addon, coz I don't have 'em?!  ???

sorry man! but if you have one of those "gunslinger" things, then its most
likely from there - unzip the b*stard and locate those bottles... then ya can
easily modify it by adding a

destrType=destructno

 to the bottle-settings in the CfgVehicles-part of the config.  :-* :)

This won't affect any other users playing missions w/ yer tweaked addon,
as the classname will remain unchanged. though other ppl will obviously
still have the "old" noisy bottles  :P ::)

 you could always get someone to model a couple of liquor bottles for you ...  wouldn't be too hard  to do...  

and I bet they'd look damn good in the hands of Tombys biker squad too ;D
 
a little strokefist  bottle smash up side the head? ;)

I'd model them myself but i cant do alpha channels to save my life :P

If ya don't wanna use any unofficial editor addons/upgrades/updates, whatever-'ates,
then how the bell did ya ever get to know 'em  :o ??? isn't it from one of those
editor addons? (hek - maybe its kellogg's editor update & not 'slingers... anyways..)  :P ::)


I couldn't make it coz I dunno the cofiurations for it, matey  :-\ ::)

Locate the cpp stuff, and I promise you'll have those silent bottles within a second.
You could even add a custom "damage sound" ( not sure with bottle objects, but I guess so ).

Still, without the config I can't make sh|t, man!  :( sorry!
