Is there a way to shut down streetlights?
« on: 12 Jan 2003, 03:42:47 »
I wonder if there's a way to shut down streetlights that are in a map.
Because im making a mission where I want it to be dark and I want to have smaller red lights or so that doesn't make a whole city glow.. :-\

Anyone got any suggestions or so?

I suggest the switchlight command...

Get the object ID of the Streetlamp (click the Show ID's button and zoom in far enough to pick out the streetlamp) and use a line like this:

(Object 2995) switchlight "OFF"

Where 2995 is the number of your streetlight.

Just note you need Resistance to do this... If you only have v1.46 there is another way, but it's a tad more complicated ;)

I have resistance 1.90 so its no problems there ;)
I checked the editors depot but that script didn't work...
or something I started close to a light a car and I walked arund and checked if the radio had any thing to do with it but I didn't make it shutdown at all so I posted a question here. :)
