A Slight Problem
« on: 16 Dec 2002, 01:38:46 »
I don't know if anyone can help me. I've made a mission intro which is very sound heavy. Anyhow, all the sounds are called using the "playsound" command and it all appears to work fine. EXCEPT, some of the files develop a terrible echo, to the point where a radion message sounds like its from a PA system in an areana. Any clues?

If you're calling playsound through a script, make sure you haven't got a loop in there by accident. This could be causing the file to play over and over on top of itself.

Nope. No loops in sight. Its a bog standard camera script, with just the word playsound once for each file. It seems only to do this if a file is quite long....
Anyone?

Can you attatch the file on your next message.

Then everyone can have a look at what might be the problem

OK. But there seems to be nothing wrong with the source file. I'll attach it when I get home.
