Advanced Training scripting
« on: 03 Jan 2003, 16:48:11 »
ok - here are a few script i was wondering about.

1. Live fire killing house - now ive already made it and used the Target E things - but what i want to do is maybe let them shoot back at the player? i dont want to use east troops as this looks crap - so could there be a way to make them shoot at the player if he was in view? like cam create a bullet to shoot forwards? - only if the player has been too close to them for too long.

2. Dynamic assult course - want to make a climbing wall - and was wondering if i could force the player to so the climbing ladded action, and at the same time move up the wall? if not i can just use a ladder  ;)

3. also - on my killing house i have a timer - now, how can i start a timer and make it display the time? as in create a stopwatch in the hint box - as long as it doesn keep in making that damn noise.

thats all i can think of for now. cheers.

Can't help but think that this should be in 'Scripting:Ideas' but here's my thoughts:  ;)

1. Sounds a good idea. "bullet12_7" is the name of a bullet just in case. And you should know how to make it fire when you are close enough. Not sure how you can make it fire towards the player though...mebbe just camcreate it on him? :-\

2. I don't see how this could be used in fire-fights with OFP. Mebbe make a course of those crawling things ( ::)) and exploding shells and stuff. Being chased by sov's, and timed all the way. :o ;)

3. To stop that annoying noise, i hear you can '0 fademusic 0' it to shut it up. :-X :P

Nyaa, thats just my thoughts... ;)

Btw - good idea :D
