How can I set Waypoint Height
« on: 30 Dec 2002, 21:31:00 »
Situation: I modified the helicopter to fly at 300 ft instead of its standard height.  It is set on a waypoint course, but when it reaches the first waypoint, it constantly circles around it (obviously because the waypoint isnt as high as the chopper).  Is there any kind of code snipplet that allows me to adjust waypoint height.

well...  that just isn't true..  ;)

you cant set heights for waypoints..  the only effect being in a vehicle or aircraft has on waypoints is that they are assigned a larger radius ....   ;D

What type of waypoint is giving you the trouble  ?

dealing with AI and helicopters can certainly be a pain in the :booty:   but the height of the waypoint is not the problem here....

Im just trying to do a simple move waypoint, but for some reason the chopper pilot likes circles, so he flys around the waypoint and never actually sets it off to move on.  I have no idea why he keeps doing this.

I had the same problem once. With me the chopper was missing the waypoint and then turning to go back, then missing again etc etc.

Try moving the waypoint so the chopper flys over it, or try slowing the chopper down so it will be more accurate.

Worked with me. Good luck Eclipsedcs :afro:

I don't think this is a problem that can be solved in OFP.
It was probably originally designed to do that...but I think it is pathetic.
