Texturing madness!
« on: 28 Dec 2002, 02:24:10 »
I've downloaded a tuxture-swapping utility (the hammer icon one), and ALMOST every .p3d file I try to access gives my an "overflow" error.  Does anyone know why this is happening?

G'day

Yes...it's because you aren't unpacking them first
for ODOL files(full game version p3ds) I use a prog called unpack-sqm. I copy the p3d to my unpack-sqm dir and rename the p3d to mission.sqm
then run unpack-sqm and it cranks out a file called mission.txt. Rename this back to the original p3d name

e.g.

uaz.p3d
rename to mission.sqm
run unpack-sqm
result= mission.txt
rename mission.txt to uaz.p3d

ready to go

hope this helps

Now I'm getting a "bad record number" error.

I'm simply trying to retuxture the standard resistance soldier.

the p3d file name is "mc vojakg2".  I run the sqm program, rename it, and then try the texture swap utility.  This is not working at all.
