ogg problems
« on: 17 Dec 2002, 18:43:10 »
Normally I use .wav files for OFP, but lately I've been trying to use .ogg files for sound effects.  This isn't working.

I'm using Goldwave.  Can anyone tell me the exact specs that I must save my .ogg files as?

I use a constant  (not variable) bitrate of 256000
for my .ogg music files and It works fine for me...

I think the most important part is not having a variable bitrate

I'm using .wav files for weapon sounds.  Saved at 16 bit, mono signed, .wav files work just fine.  .ogg files are a different story.

For music I use .ogg files.  I've read the tutorials for music, and I've had no problems; however, when I try to convert my .wav weapon sound files to .ogg, the sounds are silent in game.
