PARACHUTES

Has this been suggested before? To have modern sport parachutes? the ones that are rectangular (ram air canopies) in shape which would enable the player to control his direction and perhaps his rate of  decent.
If you could control the parachute this way it may be possible to land on top of buildings with flat roofs or other difficult LZ's???
