Look lads, theres conflicting signals here from the Moderators (see below) and I know that I for one would love to see Boer War, WW1, Spanish Civil War etc, so can someone decide on a definitive response and allow creativity to explode here or at least set up a new forum called pre-1939 etc

Well... Redcoats and suchlike would be very nice, but the engine is all wrong. You'd need a whole new game! Anything pre breach-loading-reapeter rifle isn't really for OFP, and even then, the first half of WWII would be rubbish, since they diddn't use infantry tactics, although the final 6 months might be fun.....

In the earlier times, thet Pre Section was only made for addons made from the period after 1939, that's when you I wrote that, not it's changed you can go as PRE  ;D as you want, so have fun  ;D

First of all the "Spanish civil war" that "nobody wants" may be interesting for all the Spanish people (oh, I'm sure you didn't know that!). You look very proud of being a beta tester of a GULF WAR mod... well, my friend. Open your mind and read. The Gulf War is as important as the Spanish war. Or even less important. I'm sure you know what happened in the Second World War. Well, did you know that the Spanish Civil War took place just before it?. The Germans and the Russians fought for the first time in the Spanish Civil War (it started in 1936). Many Britons, many French and even Americans fought in that war (International Brigades, I'm sure you do know something about them). Also, it was in the Spanish Civil War that the first dogfights too place, using the Germans the renowned Messersmicht fighters. It was in the Spanish World War that Fascism and Democracy fought for the first time. More than 500.000 people died in that war (and they were not only Spanish but English, American, Italian, German, Yugoslav, Czech, Canadian, Austrian and French people). And, what a coincidence! The WWII started just after the end of the Spanish Civil War (1939). A coincidence? Or is it perhaps that the Spanish Civil War was more important than you think?

All in all, you don't want to make any addon about the Spanish Civil War? Cool! Nobody's gonna force you. But DO NOT generilze. DO NOT say that nobody wants any addon about the Spanish Civil War or "any civil war" like you said. Do you know that there are more than 6.000.000.000 people on the Earth?
