Screenshots...
« on: 02 Dec 2002, 03:09:59 »
Does anyone know how to get the in-game screenshots that are used to illustrate most of the addons? I would like to capture some screens of my own for the mission overview page.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the tip Major, but it doesn't seem to work. I hit Print Screen, there was a slight judder and the game carried on as normal. There was no option to name or save the image. I searched through the OpFlash folder but nothing new had been stored in there. If it has been saved automatically, where would I find it?

It's saved onto memory. You have to go into paint and ctrl+P then save it. :)

yep, just like that.
 Hit the print screen key wen you have a nice situation that you wanna inmortalice ;D then press Tab+Alt in the same time and you game will be minimazed( If you don't go lots of RAM just exit the game,it will be ok) then open your favourite image editing program( I use the standart one, Paint) and go to the top of the window where it says "Edit", hit it and then wen the drop down menu apears click on paste, and there you go, your pic.
 You can change the size of the pic if you'll like by going to "Image" on top of the window next to "Edit", in there you'll find diferent options, like "Flip-Rotate", "stretch-Squew", etc, well the one you want is stretch squew, and wen you save it try to save it in JPEG format, it takes a lot less space in the folder for your addons or missions.
 I hoppe this helps.
Later all.
@CERO.
SCREWBY!!!

If you want to take multiple screenshots, or you wanna take screens in something you can't alt-tab away from, I suggest FSScreen. Just run it before you run OpFlash and every time you hit Print Screen it captures the image and saves it as a BMP to the directory FSScreen is in, no need to alt-tab and paste.

FSScreen is available here: http://members.chello.at/matthias.holzer/fsscreen.html

Plenty of freeware image editors are available here:

Or try searching http://www.download.com

Hope this is helpful.  :)
